Carrier Perspectives: Peak Internet

Peak Internet was founded in 2001 to provide broadband communications services to the underserved and overlooked communities in Teller County, CO. Since then, Peak Internet has led the way with faster services, high reliability & uptime, and low prices. After a decade of primarily delivering services via wireless technology, in 2012 Peak Internet began construction of its own fiber-to-the-premises network in Woodland Park.
Some highlights of the fiber to the premises project are:
  • Fiber services are being delivered to both homes and businesses
  • The default port speed installed is 1Gbps; 10Gbps ports are available
  • Also providing VoIP services over the fiber connection
  • Installation charges are usually under $100 and monthly services start at $24.95/mo
  • Peak Internet does all construction internally (construction crew are direct employees of Peak Internet)
Currently one of the largest independent ISP's in Southern Colorado, Peak Internet plans to expand both its fiber and wireless footprint as time goes on to further disrupt the traditional broadband market by offering faster services at even lower and more competitive prices. As evidence of their progress and their value to the community, Peak Internet has been chosen as a "Colorado Company to Watch" for 2014.
