FCC to Address IP Transition Experiments

posted Jun 24, 2014, 2:30 PM by Megan Chadwick Gernert - OIT   [ updated Jun 24, 2014, 2:30 PM ]

The FCC released its draft agenda for the July Open Commission Meeting, which includes an agenda item to discuss the IP Transition Trials that were presented earlier this year and included the “Letters of Interest” so many of you worked on.  Based on the stated agenda:

“The Commission will consider a Report and Order establishing a budget and a methodology for selecting winning applications for the Connect America rural broadband experiments adopted by the Commission in the January Tech Transitions Order”

Hopefully we will get some answers to key questions and guidance on moving forward.  We will keep you updated as new information arises.
